 November 5, 2017

By  Enda McLarnon

Coffee grinders vary in price from as low as £10, and all the way up to £350+ The more you can spend the better a grinder you can buy. £50 or under will still get you a good high quality burr grinder, or any type of blade grinder if you prefer to own one of those.

There are essentially a choice of two types of coffee grinder:

  1. The burr grinder
  2. The blade grinder

Blade grinders will always be the cheaper option. They cost between £10-30 and you can read our top 10 list of blade grinders, by clicking here.

However, if you have around £50 to spend, then my strong advice is to buy yourself, the much better quality burr grinder. There are a few really good choices, and we have listed those below:

Top 5 Buyer Rated Grinders Under £50 in the UK

All of these are burr grinders, and all of them are highly rated by buyers, and all of them cost under £50. After that it comes down to the style, that you prefer the most.

There are hundreds of blade grinders available on the UK market. We have picked this one as it is one of the better models.

Summary of the Top 5 Coffee Grinders Under £50

A burr grinder will always be a better choice than the cheaper blade style grinder. That is because they squeeze all of the flavour out of the bean, rather than chop the bean to death with blades.

We have included the buyer ratings above. Those we find by looking at the hundreds of reviews online, and then working out the average value for money, and also buyer satisfaction.

Any of the grinders on this list are of good quality. In many cases it will simply come down to the style that you like, and just how much you are willing to pay.

These are all priced under £50 at full RRP and the good news is that you will be able to buy them even cheaper online.
