Who Would Buy the Tower T13001 Coffee Maker?

If you enjoy the taste of filter coffee, then you really do need to own a filter coffee maker. It is worth pointing out that this is not espresso style coffee. This maker is for filter coffee lovers only.

Many people in the UK still prefer to drink this type of coffee. It has a dark rich taste and the most wonderful aroma. Using a filter maker is also a great way to serve a group of guests or to have after a family meal or a social evening.

That is because you can make one large pot, in this case a glass carafe, and then everyone can be served their coffee at the same time. This model is also ideal if you just want to make a couple of cups, thanks to the handy water gauge on the side.

What Buyers Said About the Tower T13001 Model?

We know from the above rating that overall buyers rated this coffee maker pretty highly. In this section we look at what the buyers had to say about their rating and why they awarded the score that they did.

We have read the reviews, summarised those and we found the easiest way to present these was in the form of a pros and cons table, which we have included below.

PROS

  • Buyers thought this machine was very good value for money
  • This coffee maker makes enough coffee for 4 large mugs
  • It makes great tasting coffee and makes it very quickly
  • Keeps it warm for up to 45 minutes
  • Most buyers said that they used paper filters if they wanted no grains at all

CONS

  • A few buyers said it made a high pitched noise when boiling the water
  • A few buyers received a product with parts missing

At 10%, so one out of ten, the bad ratings are a slight concern as is the high pitching noise. Our advice would be is that if you receive a maker with parts missing, or one that makes high pitched noises, then return it right away and get it replaced.

Our Verdict on the Tower T13001 Model

This filter machine came out at number 9 position on our top 10 list of filter coffee makers.

It is however also one of the cheapest on our list. This maker does represent very good value for money, and still has a high enough rating. It is however the price point that makes people want to buy this one.

With a 1.25 litre capacity, this one makes a good size for all the family. It is also a good choice if you like to entertain and have friends around.

It comes with a 3-year guarantee and uses a permanent nylon filter, which is easy to wash and keep clean.

The design is a basic black and stainless steel finish and also has the normal glass jug. That jug does have an anti-drip feature, so no mess when pouring out your coffee.

If this is not the filter machine for you, then check out our top 10 list by clicking here.

This Tower model is a basic filter machine so not that much can really go wrong with it. As we mentioned it is the price, usually under £30 that makes this one a popular choice. The higher rated models will cost twice this amount.

This Tower T13001 model sits high enough up in terms of buyer ratings, and yet has a highly competitive price point. In terms of value for money, we think this one is the best of all the filter machines.

There are better ones on the market, but they are a lot more expensive.
