Andrew James Coffee Grinder UK Review

Andrew James Electric Coffee Grinder For Beans Spices Nuts

One of the best selling coffee grinders in the UK market right now is the Andrew James grinder. This is not just a coffee grinder, but one that can also be used to grind nuts, spices and a range of seeds.

This one comes in a traditional black colour or is a striking red colour, if that is your preference. The black is by quite a way the most popular choice of the two available colours.

This is a blade coffee grinder and one that costs on average around the £15 price point, depending on where you make your purchase. As you can see from my website there is a lot of choice when it comes to buying a good quality coffee grinder.

This one is a very popular choice for three reasons:

  • The Andrew James brand name is getting very popular
  • The price is very competitive
  • It is not exclusively just for grinding coffee beans

Many people like the idea of being able to grind their own coffee beans, but also want to be able to use a grinder that can grind both spices and nuts when required. The 150 watt motor on this one is powerful enough to do that along with the strong stainless steel blades.

I have done a full detailed review below. For those who don't have time to read this, then you can check out the latest prices and any discounts available at Amazon UK by clicking here.

Our Verdict on the Andrew James Electric Coffee Grinder For Beans Spices Nuts

This is one of the biggest sellers online of any blade style grinder.

88%
Buyer Satisfaction

As you can see the vast majority rated this grinder highly with an 88% buyer satisfaction rating. I think you also have to consider that the price here is under £15 and that it is a blade grinder and not a high end burr grinder.

It will top the list for a grinder that is of this basic blade style.

This one may no longer be available on the UK market. If that is the case, then you can check out our top 10 list of blade grinders by clicking here.

Like many things in life you get what you pay for. This is not a high end grinder, but it does a very good job for most types of grinding of coffee beans, nuts, spices and seeds.

You are never going to get perfect results from any type of blade grinder, but this one is what I would describe as being "cheap, effective and cheerful."

The Krups Twin Blade for example has a slightly higher rating of 4.4 out of 5 stars but does cost £5 more. I think when you take everything in the balance this is a handy gadget to have around the kitchen for a variety of grinding jobs.

As a coffee enthusiast myself, I would not use this as I simply prefer the results from a good quality burr grinder.

I think this one is good value for money and Andrew James is an ever popular and growing brand. At this price it would be hard to be disappointed and you can then enjoy the taste of freshly brewed coffee.
