Thanks for taking your time to read our review of the popular Bialetti Moka Express 3 cup coffee maker. Please note that this is a small coffee maker and will make up to 3 espresso shots. If you prefer a mug of coffee, then this will make enough for a strong espresso, and you can then add water to fill up your mug.
This is a good choice for 1-2 people for making coffee. For entertaining you will need a bigger capacity of the same model.
This does make strong coffee, and many people say this stovetop method makes the best tasting coffee. I am firmly in that camp but others may find this type of coffee too strong. Make coffee using your favourite beans, pour into a small espresso cup, add half a teaspoon of sugar and I am in heaven.
You will find at least one and usually many more in every Italian kitchen, and if you ever try it out, you will realise why.

Our Opinion on the Bialetti Moka
The first thing we want to say is NEVER ever put this in the dishwasher or it will tarnish
This makes strong coffee and it is simple enough to use once you get the grind right.
You do have to wait for it to boil up and keep an eye on it, but it really does not take that long.
The only downside of this type of stovetop is the cleaning up process. It is more fiddly than other coffee makers, but when you get used to it, it really is not that much bother.
