This is my review of the Vicloon Espresso Coffee Tamper. This is made from a mirror finished stainless steel and is a 51 mm tamping size. This is a very good quality tamper and is a very good choice that is suitable for use with all types of espresso machines, and for compressing coffee grains used in the various coffee brewing methods.
As you can see from the image below, this dual end tamper looks really good, and it is of very high quality.
This tamper costs around £12, and is one of the better ones available on the UK market. Buyers also rate this very highly with an average score of 4.8 out of 5 stars. That says a lot about the quality of this tamper, and indeed its practical use.

Vicloon Espresso Coffee Tamper Main Review
There are plenty of these tampers available on the UK market. We have completed a top 10 list of tampers, which you can read by clicking here.
This one is on the list and it is indeed a good solid tamper, that looks very stylish. In terms of differentiating them, a good way of doing that is to look at the actual buyer rating. Buyers rate this one with a very high score of 4.8 out of 5 stars. That is a very good rating and important to know.
There are no low reviews and that is always a very good sign.
Portafilter - As many of you will know, the portafilter is the part of your coffee machine, where you place the ground coffee. Once there that is where you tamper it. You can see an image of that part over on the right hand side.
You need to make sure that the diameter of the tamper you buy, fits the portafilter. This Vicloon tamper is a 51 mm size.
Style - This tamper is a flat style, so not concave. That does make it easier to stand up for storage reasons. It also fully spreads the grains across the portafilter.
Weight - This is a heavy tamper (weighs 580 grams) and that makes the actual process of tamping easier. It also makes it generally easier to use. When you have weight, you don't have to press so hard.
In terms of appearance, this one actually looks great and will look fantastic in any kitchen. It has a really nice finish, and it looks exactly the way you would expect a tamper to look.
Who Would Buy this Vicloon Coffee Tamper?
When you buy a coffee maker, most manufacturers will provide a basic plastic tamper. That is good enough to get you started. However the reality is that it is not that effective at compressing the coffee grains, inside the portafilter.
By owning a proper barista stainless steel tamper, it really does make a difference to the quality of your espresso or other coffee drink.
Clearly this tamper is for those who want to get the best coffee results.
My Summary & Verdict on the Vicloon Espresso Coffee Tamper
if you decide to buy this one, then you will own a very good product. This one also makes a very nice gift for any coffee lover. There is nothing wrong with owning a couple of these.
