Main Review of the Finlar Premium Coffee Grinder
I think it is always worth having a look at the product on video. It just gives you a better sense of what you are actually buying. Below I have a video that will take you through what the product looks like, and how it is used.
As you can see from the video review above, the Finlar comes with everything you need from a coffee grinder, including the carrying case.
Key Features
As you can see this manual grinder is suitable for the following brewing methods, Aeropress, Chemex, French Press and Moka Pot.
It can also be used for espresso which needs a fine grind.
Finlar Grinder Main Review
This is a manual grinder and as such requires your elbow power to actually grind the coffee. There are plenty of this type of coffee mill available, and this is one of the stainless steel options.
It uses a conical ceramic burr to do the grinding. The main body is made from stainless steel, and all of the parts are detachable for cleaning. One good thing about this model, is that it is small and light in weight. That makes it portable and useful for camping, caravans or holiday homes. It comes with its own carrying bag exactly for that purpose.
As you may already know, this type of grinder is much quieter than an electric one. That makes it ideal if you need to grind coffee, when the kids are sleeping.
What Buyers Liked
- Easy to use, easy to clean and easy to store
- Small window allows you to see how much coffee you have ground
- Nice sleek design
- Comes with a useful cleaning brush and carrying bag
- Very small and slim
Didn't Like so Much
- Takes a while to grind the coffee and a bit of effort
- Not suitable for grinding lots of coffee
- Just a little too basic
My Summary of the Finlar Premium Coffee Grinder
It costs under £10 so good enough value for money. There were only a small number of complaints about the quality of this. Most people found it useful for grinding enough coffee for 1-2 cups. Anything more than that and it will be a hard chore with any hand grinder.
Many buyers said it could grind really fine which you will need for espresso or Turkish style coffees. It just takes a while to get it to that really fine almost powder like state.
It clearly does the job, looks well and is easy enough to use and clean. As manual grinders go this one does a good job. It is handy enough to use if you are going to a caravan or holiday home. For me, that is what I would be using this for.
- Measures 22.4 x 6.4 x 5.8 cm
- Weighs just under 300 grams
- Ceramic Burr grinding method
Overall the Firlar Premium Hand Grinder does a very good job. That is why it sells so well. The price is not something that would put many people off. If this is not the one for you, then check out our list of the best hand grinders on the UK market. For most people though, this will be a good enough choice, for a contemporary looking manual mill.
