Here at the Perfect Grind website we have a lot of knowledge and expertise about coffee. However, we also appreciate that there are many other experts in the United Kingdom, who have great expertise in certain aspects of the coffee industry, culture and the impact on the environment.

We would regularly refer to these experts when conducting our own independent research. We have listed those experts below.

Artisan Coffee School

They offer a full SCA Diploma Package for those who want to fully immerse themselves in the wonderful world of coffee.

They are based in Ealing Broadway, London, and are an SCA (Speciality Coffee Association) certified training centre

They offer an SCA Coffee Diploma which is the most comprehensive and cost-effective way to learn and achieve the highest level of qualification within the coffee industry. Students receive points for each qualification they receive, and once they achieve the 100 points necessary, they receive their Coffee Diploma!

The Coffee Diploma System allows you to choose the path that most suits your needs. They offer five different modules, with one being a general introduction module and each of the other four consisting of three levels of qualification: Foundation, Intermediate, and Professional.

Coffee Roasters Guild

The Coffee Roasters Guild (CRG) is the global trade guild of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) dedicated to inspire a diverse coffee roasting community through the development and promotion of the roasting profession.

It is dedicated to promoting and advancing the craft of coffee roasting. The SCA is a global non-profit organization that focuses on all aspects of specialty coffee, including cultivation, processing, brewing, and roasting. The Coffee Roasters Guild, as one of its guilds, specifically caters to coffee roasters.

The CRG provides resources, education, and a sense of community for coffee roasters, whether they are beginners or experienced professionals.

British Coffee Association

The British Coffee Association represents, promotes and supports all aspects of the UK coffee trade and industry. We foster a favourable environment for all aspects of the industry and its culture to thrive, both now and in the future.

London Coffee Festival

The London Coffee Festival is the UK's largest coffee event. Their website includes information on coffee exhibitors, workshops, and talks.

The festival usually lasts for two dedicated industry days and a full weekend of coffee celebration, The London Coffee Festival has something for everyone.

The London Coffee Festival also hosts global barista tournament Coffee Mastersâ„¢ and boasts an array of experiential features such as Latte Art Live, The Tasting Room, The Lab, The Roasters Village, The Coffee School, cocktail masterclass and more.

Balance Coffee

James Bellis is a food and drink entrepeneur having founded Balance Coffee back in 2020 and Eating In London in 2021.

James is comitted to helping improve the hospitality sector and has over a decade working in the heart of the speciality coffee industry.

Beginning his journey in the world of coffee as a Barista Trainer for UCC Coffee, James trained thousands of baristas across the UK on how to produce coffee to an excellent standard, helping to raise the bar across the industry.
