This particular model does not have a lot of frills, but it does do the basics pretty well. It uses simple manual controls, has an easy to read water level display, and the important safety feature of an auto-shut off.

Who Would Buy the De'Longhi ICM15210.1?
People from the UK who buy this machine simply enjoy the great taste of filter coffee. We always like to mention that these filter coffee makers do not make espresso style coffees. As such this type of coffee maker is for those who simply like a basic filter coffee.
Many people in the UK still prefer to drink this type of coffee. It has a dark rich taste and the most wonderful aroma. Using a filter maker is also a great way to serve a group of guests or to have after a family meal or a social evening.
Anyone who likes to have a couple of mugs of coffee in the morning will also find this small filter maker very handy. You can have one mug, and then by using the keep warm plate, have another up to 45 minutes later.
This particular De'Longhi model has a 1.25 litre capacity, and that is big enough for up to 10 cups of coffee, or around 4 mugs of coffee.

What Buyers Said About this Model?
We know from the above satisfaction rating that overall buyers rated this coffee maker with a good score. In this section we look at what the buyers had to say about their rating and why they awarded the score that they did.
We have read the reviews, summarised those and we found the easiest way to present these was in the form of a pros and cons table, which we have included below.
- Buyers thought this machine was very good value for money
- This coffee maker makes enough coffee for 4-5 large mugs
- It makes great tasting coffee and makes it very quickly
- Many buyers liked the style and also the fact that they found this very easy to use
- Overall buyers said that this was a good basic filter machine
- A few buyers said it stopped working anything between 4-12 months after purchase
- A few buyers said it started to leak
- The main complaint was that is was simply just too slow
At 6%, the bad ratings are a much higher percentage that we would like to see. The reasons for the bad reviews do vary, with the main reason being the length of time to make a pot of coffee.
It is slow we agree and if you are in a hurry in the morning, then this machine would not be the best choice for you. The machine breaking down, and the leaking problems are clearly down to a faulty product, and that means the hassle of getting it replaced under warranty.
A general complaint that you here from many buyers of filter coffee makers, is that the coffee is never piping hot. This is just the way that filter machines are. It takes time for the coffee to drip into the glass carafe, and during that process, the coffee does cool down slightly.
Although most of these machines have keep warm plates, they are not set at a high temperature as that would be a safety hazard. This De'Longhi model is similar to almost every other filter maker we have tested, in that the coffee is hot, but never piping hot.

Our Verdict on this De'Longhi Model
This filter machine came out at number 7 position on our top 10 list of filter coffee makers.
It is however also one of the cheapest on our list. This is also from the very popular De'Longhi brand and many buyers will purchase this one just to have that particular brand.
With a 1.25 litre capacity, this one makes a good size for all the family. It is also a good choice if you like to entertain and have friends around.
It comes with a 1-year guarantee but that does not cover the glass carafe if you drop it and it breaks, so please be aware of that.
Their phone number for guarantees in the UK is 02392-392555 and their customer service is very good.
This is a basic filter machine so not that much can really go wrong with it. As we mentioned it is the price, usually under £30 that makes this one a popular choice. The higher rated models will cost twice this amount.
This is not an exceptional product and that is why it is at number 7 on our list. That said the price point does make it competitive and you are buying a good brand name. If you are someone who just enjoys the taste of filter coffee, this one does make good coffee.
There are no frills, but it has all the basic and important features. This one is about half the price when compared to the top 5 filter makers shown on our top 10 list. It is that price that makes this one a popular choice along with a well known brand name.
